It's been a tough year for all of us, especially our friends and neighbors in the California artisan cheese industry. From dairy farmers to cheesemakers, chefs to cheesemongers, we've all had to adapt to new ways of making, selling, and enjoying cheese. Among these changes, our California Artisan Cheese Guild was forced to cancel both of it's annual cheese festivals, leaving a gap in funding for essential educational and marketing resources for small cheesemakers.
Have you heard of Victory Cheese? In the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, the artisan cheese industry has banded together to support our struggling community. Back in June of 2020 we created a special package of cheeses from our friends and neighbors including a $10 donation to the California Artisan Cheese Guild, a non-profit organization supporting California cheesemakers through partnerships, outreach, and education. Like the Victory Garden movement of years past, the Victory Cheese movement is a call to action for citizens to support cheesemakers in our backyard.
When we launched our Good Neighbors: Victory Cheese Box more than six months ago, we couldn’t have possibly imagined all of your generosity and support! Thanks to your love for artisan and organic cheese, we’ve tallied over $20k in donations to the California Artisan Cheese Guild.
Want to join the movement? Enjoy four superb American-made cheeses, including Valley Ford Creamery Estero Gold Reserve, Point Reyes Farmstead Original Blue, and our decadent triple-cream Mt Tam. Each Victory Cheese Box will be shipped overnight to your door, and also includes a rotating cheesemonger's pick from one of our favorite American cheesemakers. Want to preserve the future of American-made, artisan cheese? What are you waiting for?
