Reopening + Reconnecting with our Community

Welcome to a more intimate look inside of Cowgirl Creamery! The “Our Table” blog is a way for us share recipes, details about our products, and other fun external happenings. As the world is carefully recovering and reopening from the COVID-19 pandemic, we thought now was as good a time as ever to look behind the curtain and show you what it's like to be a part of the Cowgirl Creamery team.

So what does reopening look like at Cowgirl? Between our three locations, each space and team is doing something a little different.

The biggest changes happened at our Point Reyes Retail Shop. That team had to endure fluctuating and strict guidelines and now, they’ve come out the other side with a refreshed look and more space for guests. We welcome you all to come out and see the updates in action. Our cheesemongers are eager to greet you all and focus on sharing some great cheese with you instead of trying to keep a constant capacity headcount.

For our Petaluma based teams the partitions between desks have started to come down, cheesemakers from our Mt. Tam team can hang out with the Fresh Cheese team again in the break rooms, and most importantly people are reconnecting. We tried to keep as many of our team bonding traditions in place as COVID would allow but it wasn’t the same experience. When lunch is brought in, eating it 6 ft away from everyone is not the same as enjoying it at the same table with a group of coworkers and being in community with one another.

At Cowgirl, community is at the heart of what we do. Whether that community is our team of employees, the cities and counties we’re working out of, or the larger cheese industry, we are in community with all these pieces and are excited to bring them back together. We take care with being a responsible member of all these communities and strive to be an exemplifying member.

So how do we reconnect as a community on all of these levels? Come back and read this blog to see how we navigate this new time and go on this journey with us.

If you really want to know what it's like to be a Cowgirl, we’re hiring!
