Juicy Spring soaked strawberries paired with a wedge of Mt Tam on a golden toasted baguette is the perfect appetizer to elevate any gathering.
Ingredients:
1 pound strawberries diced
8 basil leaves thinly chopped
1 tbsp honey
1 baguette thinly sliced
8 oz Mt Tam
Balsamic glaze
Basil leaves for garnish
Directions:
1. Assemble strawberries: Preheat oven to 425 F. While the oven is preheating, dice strawberries and place into a mixing bowl with chopped basil and honey. Stir together to combine.
2. Toast baguette: Brush baguette slices with a thin layer of olive oil on one side and place onto a baking sheet. Bake for 6-8 minutes, or until lightly golden and toasty.
3. Top with bruschetta: Cut the Mt Tam into long thin slices and place one onto each baguette slice and top with 1 tbsp diced strawberries. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and finish with fresh basil leaves for garnish.
