Cowgirl Creamery is proud to announce a Silver Award for its Wagon Wheel cheese at the 2025 World Cheese Awards in Switzerland.
“It’s always amazing to see our team’s hard work recognized in judging, especially in an international competition,” said Matt Brown, Head Cheesemaker and Plant Manager at Cowgirl Creamery.
This award adds to a remarkable year of recognition for Cowgirl Creamery cheeses, many of which have won awards at state, national or international competitions.
“The impact of our Washed Rind cheeses this year has been phenomenal, with Hop Along placing in the Top 20 cheeses at the U.S. Championship Cheese Contest and Wagon Wheel earning recognition from the American Cheese Society and now the World Cheese Awards,” added Kaya Freiman, Brand Manager at Cowgirl Creamery.
About Wagon Wheel
Wagon Wheel is a washed rind cheese crafted from organic cow’s milk and aged for a minimum of 75 days. At room temperature, it’s approachable and delicious. Designed by chefs for chefs (originally on Zuni Cafe’s pizza menu), when melted, it’s liquid gold. It has notes of salted brown butter, heavy cream, roasted leeks and roasted garlic.
